New Purchase Return Entry and Check Steps in Lifecycle Optimizer
Background:
Having a user enter a flow based on a purchase being returned, or checking for returns within a flow is a powerful tool for marketers to make follow up actions from. Previously this could only be done by a developer using the Return API.
Solution:
The new Purchase Return steps in Lifecycle Optimizer are useful for marketers wanting to initiate a flow, or check within a flow for purchases that have been returned or orders that were cancelled. Returns should be implemented when users return a purchase or receive a refund, ensuring that net lifetime value is updated to account for these transactions. The buyer can also then be walked through an automated product return process or targeted to understand why products were returned or orders were cancelled.
What this looks like in Sailthru:
Navigate to the new steps: Messaging > Lifecycle Optimizer. Open an existing flow or create a new one. Find the Purchase Return steps by clicking on the Entry step or click + and add a Check step
