Create a New Item: API Post

The Create New Item screen allows you to define multiple items, of the same type or of differing types, then create them all at the same time.

This topic describes how to create a new API Post. API Posts can also be created from the API Post screen.

To create a new API Post from the Create New Items screen:

1. In the list of asset types, select Data Integration > API Post. The system adds an API Post into the list of assets that are to be created. The default name of the API Post is New API Post followed by a counter.

2. In the Name field, enter a name for your new API Post. This name must be unique within the selected folder.

3. From the Data Source drop-down menu, select the source table for this Content Block.

Note: You can never modify this source table after the Content Block is created.

4. Optionally, define any other assets that you want to create at the same time. If you need to remove an asset that you've defined, click the X next to the asset name within the list of assets to be created.

5. When finished, Save All in the Tool Ribbon.
