EDP and Loyalty Data Manager
The Engagement Data Platform (EDP) is the data layer that powers and unifies Cheetah Digital's Customer Engagement Suite applications. The EDP empowers marketers to load and transform data from any source, at high volumes, and then to leverage that data to create lasting customer relationships across all engagement channels.
When you create an EDP-driven Campaign, the platform allows you to use Attributes from the EDP database for Personalization and Dynamic Content. However, you must first use the EDP and Loyalty Data Managerscreen to select which Attributes and Dynamic Attributes you want accessible within Cheetah Digital by Zeta.
Likewise, if you use Cheetah Loyalty to manage your membership loyalty program, you can reference Content Tokens from your Loyalty account to personalize your Missing variable reference Campaign. However, you must first use the EDP and Loyalty Data Manager screen to select which Loyalty Content Tokens you want accessible within Missing variable reference.
Synchronization with EDP
When you create a new Attribute in the EDP database, the platform immediately synchronizes with Missing variable reference, and the new Atrribute will appear in the EDP and Loyalty Data Manager screen. By default, the Attribute will be disabled for use in Missing variable reference.
If you modify an existing Attribute in the EDP database, the changes will not immediately appear within the EDP and Loyalty Data Manager screen. The platform runs a recurring synchronization process that will update the EDP and Loyalty Data Manager. By default, this process runs every four hours, but this interval can be modified if needed; please speak to your Client Services Representative for more details. When this synchronization process runs, the platform applies the following default conditions:
-
If an EDP Attribute is deleted, it is removed from the EDP and Loyalty Data Manager screen.
-
If an EDP Attribute is updated with a new internal name or data type, it is updated on the EDP and Loyalty Data Manager screen, and defaults as disabled.
-
If an EDP Attribute is updated with a new display name, it is updated on the EDP and Loyalty Data Manager screen, and defaults to its existing state (e.g., if disabled, stays disabled).

Dynamic Attributes allow you to utilize Member Functions (created in EDP) within various Missing variable reference assets, including Dynamic Blocks, Looping Blocks, and Campaigns. Member Functions are reusable scripts or snippets of code. For example, you could create a Member Function to derive a consumer's age based the demographic data you have collected about them. You can then reference that Member Function in other areas of the platform, rather than writing the same code over again.
Note: For more details on Member Functions, please see the EDP Online Help.
