Marigold ID Release Notes
Detailed information about the latest release of Marigold ID.
July 2023 (23.7.0) Release
Features will be deployed to all Marigold ID customers on 5 July 2023.
Features
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) reduces the risk of account takeovers and provides additional security for users and their accounts.
Before July 5, 2023
Marigold ID supports Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) with one-time passcode (OTP) from an authenticator app. This is an optional setting for Marigold ID users. However, as MFA is a method to help better secure accounts, Marigold ID users are encouraged to set up MFA with Authenticator App.
MFA can be set up from the Security tab in the User workspace.
The Google Authenticator app is one of the recommended app because it is widely available on Android, iOS and Windows mobile devices.
From July 5, 2023
Effective from July 5, 2023, Marigold ID users are required to use Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to access Cheetah products.
Please note that this change will not affect users who already have the MFA setup with Authenticator App.
For users who do not have their MFA with Authenticator App setup, Marigold ID will use email as a multi-factor authentication factor to provide them a way to perform MFA. A one-time passcode will be sent to the users via email every time they log in to Cheetah Products through Marigold ID.
Once logged in to Marigold ID, you could still set up MFA with Authenticator App from the Security tab in the User workspace.

Features
Ability to Activate a Suspended Account through Password Reset Request
We added a feature that could enable the user of Marigold ID to unsuspend their suspended account through a password reset.
Background:
Marigold ID suspends users' account automatically after 60 days of inactivity. Currently, when an account is suspended, the user will have to contact their organization admin or Cheetah Digital Support team to unsuspend the account.
Solution:
Marigold ID users can now unsuspend their suspended accounts through the password reset option in the Marigold ID login page.
Please refer to the reset password screens below.
When the Forget Password button is clicked by the user, a password reset email will be sent to the user. The user is required to reset the password within 24 hours upon which the account is activated. If not, the account will be re-suspended after 24 hours.
