Using Liveclicker in an email campaign

Create Liveclicker campaign

Once a Liveclicker account is configured for you by a Marigold admin, you must first create the Liveclicker campaigns in your Liveclicker account in order to add those elements to an Engage+ email campaign, . Please follow the How To Guides here to create Liveclicker campaign.

Note: You must first sign in to your Liveclicker account to access these user guides.

Add Liveclicker content to Engage+ email campaign via Content Designer

When a Liveclicker campaign is created in your Liveclicker account, you can add it directly to an Engage+ email campaign from the Engage+ Content Designer following the steps below.

  1. Navigate to the Content tab of the Engage+ Campaign.
  2. From the menu on the right, drag-and-drop the Liveclicker item into the desired location in the workspace. The system adds a Liveclicker content block.

  3. Click Browse in the Liveclicker content block, to retrieve the list of published campaigns.

  4. From the displayed list, select the desired Liveclicker campaign and then the element to use in the Engage+ email campaign.

  5. Click Add Element to insert the element in the Design.

Note: The Liveclicker Campaign selection modal will only show Live/ non-expired  campaigns from the associated Liveclicker account.

  6. When finished, click the down-arrow icon within the Content tab again to return to the menu of element types.

Preview and proofing

You can use the preview and proofing feature in Engage+ for proofing and testing your campaign with Liveclicker content before launching the campaign to the targeted audience.

Important Note: When using Liveclicker content in your email campaign, an impression is always recorded on the content when previewed (or the URL requested in proofing) and will require your Liveclicker credit.

There is a work around to prevent charging credits during previewing, through the use of seed list feature on Liveclicker. In every Liveclicker account, users can add up to 100 seed emails, designed especially for testing. This allows testing of Liveclicker content using the value included in the seed list without charging credits. However, this is limited to 1,000 test impressions per day.

So, use the Liveclicker Seed List feature, and include the same seed email addresses for testing purposes in both Liveclicker Seed List and Engage+ Proofing Group (use specific records) so that the proofing emails will only be sent to the members in the Seed list ofLiveclicker and Proofing Group in Engage+.

Add Liveclicker content to Engage+ email campaign via advanced editor

When a Liveclicker campaign is created in your Liveclicker account, you can add it directly to a Engage+ email campaign from the Advanced Editor similar to how you add a content block to the campaign.
