Requirements for Full-Service Liveclicker Support for Static LiveScrape Campaigns
A Static LiveScrapes allows users to scrape live content on a webpage by selecting the specific area on a webpage.
For clients who wish to engage Liveclicker to create a Static LiveScrape full service campaign, you must provide the following to your Liveclicker Account Manager or Liveclicker Support Team Member. Upon receipt of the below items, Liveclicker will review and provide the HTML embed code to be placed in the email template within 2 business days provided all information and assets are complete and delivered.
Planned Launch Date — Provide Liveclicker Support Team Member with the planned launch date for your email campaign as well as your desired testing date deadline you would like to receive the Liveclicker HTML embed code by.
Webpage URL where desired LiveScrape content is located on.
You must specify the exact content on the webpage you wish to scrape to your account manager or Liveclicker support representative. Based on your selected content, a Liveclicker support team member will confirm whether it can be scraped using a Static LiveScrape. If the content cannot be scraped, the support team will suggest alternative methods, which may include switching to a Dynamic LiveScrape to meet the objectives of your campaign
Clickthrough Type — Choose whether or not the scraped content should have a clickthrough URL. If Clickthrough URL is required, you must provide a default clickthrough URL to be used for your scraped content.
Dimensions — Provide your desired dimensions for your scraped content. Provide your Liveclicker Support Team Member with a fixed width and height you would like your scraped content to be in your email campaign.
Alternate version — Provide any alternate content you would like scraped, and targeting rules that should apply to alternate versions of content. For example there might be a mobile version of the webscraped content that Liveclicker can target to only show up in mobile email clients. (For all alternate versions of scraped content, Liveclicker will need the alternate settings (steps 1-4) for each. (not required)
Error Replacement Image — Provide your Liveclicker Support Team Member with an Error Replacement Image and Clickthrough URL (if you chose to have a clickthrough URL with your scraped content.) This is an image of what Liveclicker should show if there is an error with the site that the content is served from. Liveclicker can also serve a 1x1 transparent pixel in this case, if the client would like to collapse the webscrape in case of an error.
Preferred time in between LiveScrapes — By default, Liveclicker scrapes content for a Dynamic LiveScrape every 10 minutes. By request, Liveclicker can adjust this update window on a campaign by campaign basis. (not required)
