LiveImage - Personalizing Overlay Text
You can personalize the overlay text of your LiveImage with information either from your ESP or from data imported via CSV or API.
Note: To be able to use ESP data, you need custom fields to be configured. To be able to use dynamic values, you need to import data into Liveclicker via a CSV or make it available via the API.
1. To add personalization, access the selector in the Add dynamic value field, and choose the Custom or Dynamic field to be used:
2. You can choose here between:
Custom fields — These fields have been configured in the Custom Fields section of your Account Settings. A Custom field is a field in your ESP that can be used to personalize content.
Dynamic fields — These dynamic fields contain data that has been imported from a CSV or via the API, and is stored in your Liveclicker environment. This is typically information that is not available in your ESP but that is stored in a different system, such as a CRM system, a datawarehouse, etc.
Note: You can add a combination of custom and dynamic fields, with a maximum of 10 fields.
3. Once you have selected a field, it is added to the text box.
You can easily reposition this field, through drag and drop.
4. In the Personalization configuration section just below, you can enter the following settings for the field:
Preview value — Enter a value that is shown on the image preview to test your configuration. When custom fields or dynamic fields are used, this data is not yet available here in the configuration panel. By entering a preview value, you can visualize what it will look like once rendered in the message.
Fallback value — A fallback value is displayed when there is an issue retrieving the data for the dynamic field. Make sure to always define a fallback. This option is not required for custom fields.
Character limit — You can limit the number of characters displayed for the field. If the personalization field exceeds this limit, the fallback value will be displayed.
5. Repeat the steps for every personalization field that needs to be added to the text.
