Phrasee and Liveclicker

You can integrate your LiveImage campaigns with a Phrasee campaign! For more information on how Phrasee can help you with optimizing your headlines and call-to-action (CTA) text, visit: https://phrasee.co/

This integration allows you to easily connect a Phrasee campaign to a LiveImage element, and automatically generate a unique alternate image for each Phrasee variant so you can find the most powerful call to action text!

 

Setting up your integration

In order to connect your Phrasee account with Liveclicker, you will need a system token and an account ID. You can obtain both of these by reaching to Phrasee's support team.

Account ID — The account ID is required by Phrasee in order for Liveclicker to send and receive data with Phrasee.

System Token —This token is needed to authenticate your Liveclicker account with Phrasee and allows us to receive Project and Campaign information from Phrasee and send analytic data back to Phrasee.

When requesting a system token from Phrasee's support team, you can limit access to specific projects or campaigns if needed but we suggest you do not limit this token to make accessing future campaigns more convenient.

 

Connecting a Phrasee Campaign with LiveImage

Once your Liveclicker account is connected with Phrasee, you can create a LiveImage campaign and populate it with Phrasee variants by following the following steps:

1. Create a new campaign and add a LiveImage element.

2. Under the Basic Settings section, select Add an integration, and select the desired Phrasee campaign you want to use in your LiveImage.

Phrasee offers several campaign types, we strongly recommend only using "Email" Phrasee campaigns with LiveImage as these will create the most compelling call to action for your Liveclicker campaign.

3. Once your Phrasee campaign has been selected, you can now configure your default LiveImage. The default LiveImage will automatically have the first Phrasee variant text populated as an overlay.

While you can style the text, you will not be able to change the language once it is loaded into your LiveImage element. This allows you to take advantage of Phrasee's powerful Artificial Intelligence engine to determine the most effective language that will convert your audience.

You can add additional overlay text outside of the Phrasee text and even add personalization!

4. Now that your Default Image is configured, you can click Create integration alternatives to generate duplicates of your Default Image that will be populated with the Phrasee variant text.

We suggest reviewing each alternate in case you need to change the styling or look of the Phrasee text. If you wish to change the language of the Phrasee text, please do so in the Phrasee application.

5. If you're satisfied with the look and feel of your LiveImage/Phrasee campaign, you can now treat this as a normal campaign.

 

Determining a winner

Liveclicker will automatically turn any Phrasee integrated campaign into an AB test. Each variant will receive an equal amount of traffic distributed across your viewers. Once a winner is determined via statistical significance based on the "Audience size" configured in your Phrasee campaign and clicks by Liveclicker, all further opens will receive the optimized text. This allows you to immediately deliver the optimal CTA text without having to wait for the entire test to complete.

The results of your campaign will be sent back to Phrasee so that their Machine Learning model can continue to learn what language performs best with your audience, and therefore improve future Phrasee campaigns.

Picking a winner manually

If you would like to configure the AB settings yourself, for example, customize the sample size or set it to not pick a winner so all versions are equally distributed, this is possible. Once your alternate images have been created, go back to basic settings and delete the Phrasee integration from the campaign, like so:

Doing so will leave the image versions but allow you to configure the A/B test settings.

Note: Deleting the integration to allow full control over the AB test settings means that you'll need to manually upload your impressions and click data to Phrasee to use the results to optimize future sends.
