View a Place

To view the details and configuration properties of a Place:

  1. Select Admin from the top navigation bar, then select Locations > Places from the side navigation menu. The Places screen is displayed, with List View selected by default.

  2. Search for and select the desired Place ( see Search for a Place for more information on the available search options). The Place Details screen is displayed, with the Definition tab selected by default.

  1. The header and the tabs on this screen allow you to view various configuration details. See below for details on each of these areas.

The header area of the Place Details screen displays many of the high-level properties of this Place, including its name, address, Integration ID, status, and effectivity period. From this area, you can edit the high-level properties of a Place, or delete an existing Place.

Also from the header area, you can define the effectivity period for the Place. See Define Place Effectivity Period for more information.

Also from the header area, you can publish or archive a Place.

Definition Tab

The Definition tab of the Place Details screen displays all the configuration properties defined for this Place. See Configure a Place for more information.

Zones Tab

The Zones tab of the Place Details screen allows you to further sub-divide a Place into Zones for more fine-grained targeting. For example, you could define Zones for the different departments in a retail store. Zones must be assigned to one or more Beacons, which can locate the position of a mobile device, and deliver notifications to a Member's device based on their proximity to the Beacon.
