Program Setting Category - Merge Accounts

The Program Settings in the Merge Accounts Category are used to control the process of merging two Member Accounts. For more information, see the Merge Member Profile Guide.

This Category includes the following Program Settings.

Merge Attributes

This setting indicates whether or not to include Member Attributes when merging Member Profiles.

To configure this Program Setting:

  1. On the Program Settings screen, search for and select the Merge Attributes setting.

  2. From the Value drop-down menu, select either:

    • False : The platform will not include Member Attributes when merging Member Profiles.

    • True: The platform will include Member Attributes when merging Member Profiles. The specific Attributes included in the merge are configured in the Member Attributes Program Setting (see below).

  1. Click Save.

Member Attributes

If you enabled the Merge Attributes Program Setting (see above), the platform will include Member Attributes when merging Member Profiles. The Member Attributes Program Setting is used to determine specifically which Attributes to include in the merge process.

To configure this Program Setting:

  1. On the Program Settings screen, search for and select the Member Attributes setting.

  2. From the Value drop-down menu, select one or more Member Attributes to include in the Member Profile merge process.

  1. Click Save.

Merge Metrics

This setting indicates whether or not to include Metrics when merging Member Profiles.

To configure this Program Setting:

  1. On the Program Settings screen, search for and select the Merge Metrics setting.

  2. From the Value drop-down menu, select either:

    • False: The platform will not include Metrics when merging Member Profiles.

    • True: The platform will include Metrics when merging Member Profiles. The specific Metrics included in the merge are configured in the Metrics Program Setting (see below).

  1. Click Save.

Metrics

If you enabled the Merge Metrics Program Setting (see above), the platform will include Metrics when merging Member Profiles. The Metrics Program Setting is used to determine specifically which Metrics to include in the merge process.

To configure this Program Setting:

  1. On the Program Settings screen, search for and select the Metrics setting.

  2. From the Value drop-down menu, select one or more Metrics to include in the Member Profile merge process.

  1. Click Save.

Member Attributes to Prefix

If this setting is enabled, the platform will prefix the selected Member Attribute values with “_merged_” in the deactivated Source Profile.

To configure this Program Setting:

  1. On the Program Settings screen, search for and select the Member Attributes to Prefix setting.

  2. From the Value drop-down menu, select one or more Member Attributes. This prefix can be applied to email, card ID, and mobile phone Attribute values.

  1. Click Save.

Response Types

This setting determines which (if any) Response types should be transferred from the Source Profile to the Target Profile.

To configure this Program Setting:

  1. On the Program Settings screen, search for and select the Response Types setting.

  2. From the Value drop-down menu, select one or more Response types. The available Response types that can be merged are: Orders, Rewards, Offers, Challenges, Punch Cards, Gift Cards, and Codes.

  1. Click Save.
