Getting Started with Reward Classes
Overview
A Reward Class allows you to define custom fields (called Attributes) that describe your products. For each Attribute in the Reward Class, you can define a set of valid values (called Domain values). You can also define the default Domain value.
A Reward Class is typically used in conjunction with a Physical Product-type Reward. This Reward type allows a Member to spend a prescribed number of Metrics in exchange for a physical product. For more information, see Configure a Reward - Physical Product.
For example, let's say you sell t-shirts with the following options:
-
Color: Red and Blue
-
Size: Small, Medium, and Large
You could define a Reward Class called "T-Shirts" with the above two Attributes: Color and Size. The Color Attribute would have two Domain values ("Red" and "Blue"). Likewise, the Size Attribute would have three Domain values ("Small," "Medium," and "Large"). Then, within the Reward configuration, you could define the valid combinations of these two Attributes, and assign each combination its own Metric cost, SKU, and image. For example, for a Member to redeem a "Small red shirt" costs 50 Points, and is SKU 1356.
