Campaign Details: Audience
Overview
The Audience tab of the Campaign Details screen is used to define the available audience of Members who are eligible to receive the Offers in this Campaign. Please note that the individual Offers can also be configured with eligibility constraints, to provide even more granular control of Member participation.
The platform provides three methods of defining the Campaign Audience:

All: Use your entire Member table as the potential Audience. The screen displays a count of your Member table.

Simple: Using a drag-and-drop interface, define business rules to select the desired Members.

Advanced: Select existing Segments and / or Locations to define the eligibility.

Define Audience - Simple

To define a "simple" Audience for this Campaign:

Select the simple toggle

Member Attributes are displayed along the left-hand side of the screen. Optionally click into the Filters field and select or de-select the desired attribute types (such as "Demographic" or "Preference").

Drag an Attribute from the left-hand side of the screen, and drop it in the workspace in the center of the screen.

Options for defining the condition are displayed within the Attribute. For example, if you dragged in "Age," you'll see the phrase "Age is (operator) (some age)." Refine the condition as needed by selecting an operator, a value, and so forth. The graph on the right-hand side of the screen is refreshed to show the count of Members selected by this condition.
Note: At any time, you can manually refresh the graph showing the count of selected Members by clicking the Refresh icon.

Repeat the above steps as needed to select more Attributes and define more conditions. If you need to remove an Attribute, simply drag it out of the central workspace.

Optionally, to rearrange the sequence of Attributes, click-and-drag a box using the "handle" icon, and drop it in its desired new location.

To view the underlying Groovy expression, click "Show Expression" above the graph. The "Groovy Expression" pop-up window is displayed. When finished, click close.

To view the underlying SQL query, click "Show Query" above the graph. The "Estimate Query" pop-up window is displayed. When finished, click close

To download a file containing all of the Members included in this Audience, click view members.

Define Audience - Advanced

To define an "advanced" Audience for this Campaign:

Select the advanced toggle.

To define the Audience through a Segment, from the Segments drop-down menu, select the desired Segment, then click add. The Segment is added to the list of Segments used by this Campaign. The "Status" column displays a green icon if this Segment currently has a status of "Published," and a red icon if its status is "Draft." The "Active" column displays a green icon if this Segment is currently active based on its Effectivity Period, and a red icon if the Segment is not currently active. Optionally click the Segment's name to view the Segment Details screen.
Note: Segments used to define the Campaign Audience will always use "included" logic. Locations (described below) can optionally used "excluded" or "included" logic.

If you need to remove a Segment from the Campaign, click the Remove icon next to it. A confirmation dialog box is displayed; click confirm.

To define the Audience through a Location, use the toggle to select "Exclude" or "Include."

From the Locations drop-down menu, select the desired Location, then click add. The Location is added to the list of Locations used by this Campaign. The "Status" column displays a green icon if this Location currently has a status of "Published," and a red icon if its status is "Draft." The "Active" column displays a green icon if this Location is currently active based on its Effectivity Period, and a red icon if the Location is not currently active. Optionally click the Location's name to view the Location Details screen.

If you need to remove a Location from the Campaign, click the Remove icon next to it. A confirmation dialog box is displayed; click confirm.

Optionally click refresh segments to execute the Segment logic for the selected Segment(s).
