Deployments

Loyalty allows you to make direct changes to some of the attributes available to members. Use the Program tab to manage different program versions and change icons, descriptions, and functions. Some examples would include modifying member metrics, member preferences, activity types, etc.

Deploy Metadata

All program metadata is versioned. After changing program definitions, such as new or modified Attributes or Preferences, you must deploy metadata, which pushes the changes out to the Loyalty server, and makes the changes available for use.

To deploy metadata:

1. Select Program from the top navigation bar, then select Deployments from the side navigation menu. The Deployments screen is displayed.

2. Click Deploy New Version. The New Program Version pop-up window is displayed.

3. In the Version field, enter a deployment version. The best practice is to increment the previous version number. The previous version number can be found on the Deployments screen within the Program Versions log.

4. Optionally, in the Note field, enter a description of the changes in this version.

5. The platform displays a log of all the changes included in this version. Review these changes to confirm that the desired changes are getting deployed.

6. Click Create & Deploy Metadata. A confirmation dialog box is displayed; click Confirm.

7. If the deployment was successful, a success message is displayed.

8. Click Close.
