Languages in Messages
The languages in which a journey from a template can be created depend on the languages defined for the template used.
Edit the language
Once the journey is created, the user can still change the languages in the properties of the used template.
1. To edit the languages of the message, click the Edit content button from the journey interface to go back to the content.
2. Then, open the properties of the template used:
3. The languages defined in the template are listed. You can remove languages by simply clicking them. They will be displayed in red. You can add languages by clicking the +.
A contact will receive the message in his language. If the language of the contact does not exist for the message, the contact can either get a default language or get no message at all. This is defined on template level as well, in the properties.
Note: the language of the contact is stored in the audience in a dedicated field. Which field should be used for this is defined in the Organization, where audiences are configured.
Edit content per language
When more than one language is defined for the message, a Language field is displayed in the toolbar:
The current language displayed is the language for which the message is being edited. For each language
- Make the necessary changes to all editable parts in the message, whether it is text, images or buttons,
- Configure email header when possible
- Add items to the repeater.
- Select the values for the variables
The content of the message must be complete for all languages When this is not the case, the user is informed:
