Expanded dynamic capabilities for Push / In-App - Now Available
Background
Push notifications and in-app messages are an effective way to attract attention to time-sensitive and highly personalized content like recommendations and back-in-stock alerts. Until now, that kind of dynamic personalization has been limited in this channel.
Solution
You now have increased flexibility and power to tailor messages to each subscriber at scale. A new Setup tab has been added to the Push / In-App template editor. This is where Zephyr code can be included to prepare data for your template, such as assigning vars, setting up append user var, loading content for back-in-stock notifications, and running the personalize() function to obtain user-specific content recommendations (where a data feed is not required).
The setup function runs once for each subscriber, and can be used to prepare data for both Push notifications and In-App messages.
