Prerequisites - ConfiguringIntegrating Interactive Moments with Journeys

Intended Audience: Technical marketers or expert users who have experience with solution configuration, data management, and advanced setup.

Interactive Moments uses Signals and Interactive Moments to send customer interaction or event data to Journeys.

The Interactive Moments application is used in combination with your marketing platform (to send out omni-channel communications) and with your various touch points, such as your website or mobile app. Behavior on the website is tracked and sent as Signals. As a result of a signal, a Moment is triggered which in its turn triggers a Journey.

Before you begin, ensure that the Interactive Moments application is integrated with your marketing platform and website. Refer to the integration instructions here.

If you need to get Interactive Moments activated in your account, help with the integration or any of the following steps, contact your Customer Success Representative.

Once integration is complete, follow these steps to set up Interactive Moments:

  • Set Up Audiences: In the Interactive Moments platform, create and assign Audiences for each website you manage. These audiences define which domains the SDK or API keys will monitor for signals. Refer for audience setup instructions here.

  • (Optional) Configure Moment Event Tables : To use advanced event triggers and personalize campaigns more effectively:

    • Ensure the moment_event and moment_event_items tables are created for you in Cheetah Digital

    • These tables are correctly joined to your sending table for seamless data access.

  • Configure Signals: The Interactive Moments service tracks customer behavior and listens for event signals.

    • Ensure all required signals for your Journeys are configured.

    • You can view the list of available signals here. These signals can be used to directly trigger a Journey.

  • Create Interactive Moments: Define Interactive Moments in the platform to trigger specific Journeys. Refer for instructions on creating Interactive Moments here.

To use the Interactive Moments in your Journey, set your Journey's Event Subscription setting to Subscribe Automatically.
