Role Details

Overview

The Role Details screen displays detailed information about a user account Role. From this screen, you can configure the access privileges granted to users in this Role. 

Access

To access the Role Details screen, click on the desired Role from the Roles screen.

Navigation links are provided near the top of the Role Details screen:

  • Back to Roles: Click this link to return to the Roles screen.

  • Next / Previous: Click these links to navigate to the Role Details screen for the next or previous Role.

The Role Details screen is organized into different sections available by clicking the appropriate tab.

The Role Details screen provides the following features related to managing user account Roles:

Edit Role Properties

To edit the properties of a Role:

  1. In the Header section of the Role Details screen, click the Edit icon. The "Edit Role" pop-up window is displayed.

  2. Optionally change the Role's label.

  3. The "Internal Name" is automatically populated based on the "Display Name" value. This field is uneditable by default. To edit the Internal Name, check the "Edit Internal Name" check box. A confirmation dialog box is displayed; click ok. Edit the Internal Name value.

  4. Optionally, enter a description of the Role in the "Description" field.

  5. Optionally, select onto more Analytics Groups to assign to this Role.

  6. Optionally, from the "Landing Page" drop-down menu, select the screen that a user assigned to this Role will see when logging into Loyalty.  

Note: Loyalty also supports a global default landing page that can be configured on the Program Settings screen. In the event that a Role-based configuration conflicts with the global configuration, the Role-based configuration takes precedence. If a user has been assigned to multiple Roles with different default landing pages, the configuration for the user's "Default Role" takes precedence. 

  1. Click save. 

Copy a Role

To copy the selected Role:

  1. In the Header section of the Role Details screen, click the Copy icon.

  2. The platform creates a new Role with the same properties as the copied Role. 

Delete a Role

To delete the selected Role:

  1. In the Header section of the Role Details screen, click the Edit icon. The "Edit Role" pop-up window is displayed.

  2. Click delete. A confirmation dialog box is displayed.

  3. Click confirm.
