BACKGROUND:
As consumers increasingly live in the moment, marketers must find ways to engage with them in real time, and deliver hyper-personalized experiences. By responding to customers' actions—or even the lack thereof—marketers can create timely, relevant connections that resonate deeply and drive stronger, more meaningful relationships.
SOLUTION:
Marigold Moments identifies key points in the customer journey, listening to valuable behavioral signals during those key points, and turning those signals into real-time insights that lead to impactful interactions with customers.
Observing, interpreting, and acting quickly upon customer behavior leads to:

WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE IN THE SOLUTION:
At first, we focused on a series of Abandonment Moments. Each of these Moments will be able to trigger a Cheetah Digital journey. Implementing Abandonment Moments allows marketers to reclaim lost sales by re-engaging customers with target reminders, ultimately boosting conversion rates and revenue.
How it works in Marigold Moments
Today Interactive Moments collects signals from your website (in the future, we will also bring mobile and email) by observing a known visitor’s behavior, such as beginning an action and not completing it. For example:
- Adding an item to their cart and not checking out
- Starting a survey or form and leaving it incomplete
- Beginning a game then quitting before it's over
These signals are then interpreted by the Moments application and translated into a specific moment in the visitor’s lifecycle. Moment templates are available to help you set the rules for these moments and define when exactly a Moment occurs. Abandonment Moment templates now available with Cheetah Digital Journeys include:
- Abandon Survey/Booking/Game Moment
- Abandon Browse Moment
- Abandon Cart Moment
How it works with Engage+ and Journeys:
When a Moment occurs in the visitor’s lifecycle, action can be taken. This action is defined outside of the Moments application, in your Engage+ environment. A journey is triggered by a selected Moment and messages are sent out.

Capturing signals for immediate action is one thing, but leveraging and storing that data for future profiling and targeting is another. This is where Engagement Profiles come into play.
SOLUTION:
Capture signals from website actions that reveal specific visitor interests and behaviors to build a Web Engagement Profile. Use this profile to effectively micro-target visitors, moving away from large-scale email blasts, and instead engage them with personalized email, push, and SMS campaigns;
Over 20 default popular activities collected to start:
- First and last visits to your website
