Punch Card Categories

Overview

Punch Card Categories are an organization tool that allow you to group together Punch Cards.

Once you create a Punch Card Category, you can assign Punch Card to it from the Punch Card Details screen.

Access

To access the Punch Card Categories screen, select Rewards from the Main Navigation Menu, then select Settings > Punch Card Categories from the Sub-Category menu.

The Punch Card Categories screen provides the following features:

Searching and Sorting

Search

The search feature allows you to search for a specified text string anywhere within the following fields: display name or internal name.  

  1. Optionally, in the search field near the top of the Punch Card Categories screen, enter the desired text string.

  2. Press Enter, or click the search button (magnifying glass icon).

  3. The Punch Card Categories screen is refreshed to show only the Punch Card Categories that meet your search criteria. Please note that if you enter multiple search conditions, the platform displays only the Punch Card Categories that meet ALL criteria.

  4. To remove all search criteria, click the remove button ("X" icon).

Sort

The "Sort" drop-down menu allows you to sort the Punch Card Categories on a variety of different fields. To sort the list of Punch Card Categories, select the desired sort option from this menu.

  • Name (default option)

  • Created Date

  • Updated Date

Create a New Punch Card Category

To create a new Punch Card Category:

  1. In the "Enter Display Name" field, enter the name of the new Punch Card Category.

  2. Click create. The "Edit Punch Card Category" pop-up window is displayed.

  3. The "Display Name" field is populated with the value you entered above in step 1; optionally edit this value.

  4. The "Internal Name" is automatically populated based on the "Display Name" value. This field is disabled by default. To edit the Internal Name, check the "Edit Internal Name" check box. A confirmation dialog box is displayed; click ok. Edit the Internal Name value.

  5. To assign an image to this Punch Card Category, click choose file, then browse to and select the desired image file.

  6. In the "Description" field, enter a description of the Punch Card Category.

  7. Optionally check "Internal" to make the Punch Card Category internal-facing only.

  8. Click save.  

Edit a Punch Card Category

To edit a Punch Card Category:

  1. Optionally search for the Punch Card Category as described above.

  2. Click on the Punch Card Category record. The "Edit Punch Card Category" pop-up window is displayed.

  3. Optionally edit the Punch Card Category display name and /or internal name.

  4. To assign an image to this Punch Card Category, click choose file, then browse to and select the desired image file.

  5. In the "Description" field, enter a description of the Punch Card Category.

  6. Optionally check "Internal" to make the Punch Card Category internal-facing only.

  7. Click save. Or, to discard your changes, click close.

Delete a Punch Card Category

To delete a Punch Card Category:

  1. Optionally search for the Punch Card Category as described above.

  2. Click on the Punch Card Category record. The "Edit Punch Card Category" pop-up window is displayed.

  3. Click delete. A confirmation dialog box is displayed.

  4. Click confirm.
