Punch Card Details

Overview

Punch Cards allow you to reward Members for purchasing a set of specific items, or performing a set of specific actions. The Punch Card Details screen is used to view and edit the properties of a Punch Card.

Access

To access the Punch Card Details screen, click the desired item on the Punch Cards screen.

Navigation links are provided near the top of the Punch Card Details screen:

  • Back to Punch Card Types: Click this link to return to the Punch Cards screen.

  • Next / Previous: Click these links to navigate to the Punch Card Details screen for the next or previous Punch Card.

The Punch Card Details screen is organized into different sections available by clicking the appropriate tab.

The basic properties for the Punch Card are displayed at the top of the screen in the Header section. The features available within this section are described below.

View or Edit Punch Card Properties

To view or edit the properties of the selected Punch Card:

  1. In the top section of the Punch Card Details screen, click the Edit icon. The "Edit Punch Card Type" pop-up window is displayed.

  2. Make any necessary changes to the Punch Card properties.

  3. Click save.

Delete a Punch Card

To delete the selected Punch Card:

  1. In the Header section of the Punch Card Details screen, click the Edit icon. The "Edit Punch Card Type" pop-up window is displayed.

  2. Click delete. A confirmation dialog box is displayed.

  3. Click confirm.  

 Copy a Punch Card

The Loyalty platform allows you to copy a Punch Card to use as the basis for a new Punch Card. To copy a Punch Card:

  1. In the Header section of the Punch Card Details screen, click the Copy button.

  2. The system creates a new Punch Card and displays the Punch Card Details screen. The default name of the new Punch Card is the name of the original Punch Card, followed by a counter, such as "(1)."

 Set Status and Effectivity Period

To set the status and overall effectivity period for a Punch Card:

  1. In the top-right section of the Punch Card Details screen, click the Edit icon. The "Edit Punch Card Type" pop-up window is displayed

  2. From the "Status" drop-down menu, select the desired status value -- Draft, Published, or Archive. 

  3. Make any necessary changes to the Punch Card's effectivity. The effectivity designates the time frame during which Members can view and respond to the Punch Card. Valid values are:

  • Always: This Punch Card doesn't expire.

  • Scheduled: Enter a start date and end date, and select the time zone. Optionally, check "Recurring" to use a recurring schedule. Select the desired schedule from the "Recurring Schedule" drop-down menu, or define a new recurring schedule (see below for details on that process).

  1. Click save.

To define a new recurring schedule for this item's effectivity:

  1. From the Recurring Schedule drop down menu, select Enter Schedule. The Repeat pop up window is displayed.

  2. Select a recurrence frequency of Weeklyor Monthlyfrom the Frequency drop down menu.

  3. In the text field, enter the interval.

  4. For a Weekly frequency, select one or more days of the week. For example, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

  5. For a Monthly frequency, choose one of the following options:

  • Day of month: Select one or more days of the month. Ex: the 15th and the 30th.

  • Day of week: Select one or more days of the week, for each of the four weeks within a month. Ex: the second Wednesday of the month.

  1. Click ok. The system adds the new schedule to the Recurring Schedule drop down menu.
